Performing Arts at its Finest

A wonderful performing arts festival is the Croydon Music Festval. Not limited to music, you will find drama, speech and dance as well. The festival promotes the highest standard and quality of all of the performance arts - hoping to increase awareness of the contribution that performance makes to all of society!

It is a learning process that helps the younger folks to benefit from the experiences of those who have gone before... Sounds a bit cliche, but that really is the goal. Performers seek out constructive criticism as they make the audience more aware of their craft.

If you are looking for a great festival, check this one out. You won't be disappointed.

However, you might be overwhelemed at the skills and level of education you receive here!

You will hear strings, guitar, brass, violins, woodwinds, piano, harp and even handbell choirs. Ther eare chorla presentations as well as rock, pop, jazz and organ. Percussion makes their presence known as well.

You will have it all, in one place as folks from all over the UK show up to share their love of performing - you can share the love by offering high praise for their hard work and constructive criticism as they strive to get better at what they do.

Music Festivals in London!

London is the perfect place to enjoy music festivals.

This is a three-day festival that takes place in London's Victoria Park during July.

Lovebox was founded by DJs Groove Armada and though it started out as a dance festival, there are now a full range of musical acts in the line-up, as well as some 2nd level performances. Just like other London festivals, you can't camp overnight, but cheapr rooms at hotels are great alternativaes in the area.

This used to be in Hyde Park, but it has moved the venue to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford Faetuing big names and big acts each summer, this is a very popular music festival. It is known to sell out, so if you want to attend, get your tickets early!

Field Day

Field Day is located in East London's Victoria Park, and mergest the musical line-up and other dramatic acts with a 'Village Mentalit.' There are activities from traditional country places. This festival draws every kind of hipster and prides itself on setting the standard for all future festivals.

Hard Rock Calling
Don't miss the Hard Rock Calling festival held in the Olympic Park. A contrast to the Wireless festival also held there, it is made up of rockers and hard guitar playing.

South West Four

This festival is known as SW4 and is a full two-day celebration of music, dance and electronic sounds. Awesome is the only way to descibe this all-out music festival!

How did it all begin?

Musical theater is the best form of entertainment ever. You can get drama, comedy, music, dance - everything all at one time! Whether youlike live theatre - big screen or television - you can see musicals that will rock your world.

My all-time favorite is "Fiddler on the Roof." But you can follow this with "The Wizard of Oz" or a host of others that come to mind!

Muscial theatre got its start with "The Black Crook"and this is the show that gives America the right to claim having created the musical entertainment genre.

Based on a novel by Charles M Barras, it opened in 1886 and ran for 474 performances. What a start to the great muscial theatre!
